Biden Holds Big Cash Advantage Over Trump

On Saturday, The New York Times published a report highlighting a substantial cash advantage held by President Joe Biden’s campaign over that of former President Donald Trump.

Trump, who previously self-funded his campaigns in both 2016 and 2024, has faced significant financial strain due to numerous lawsuits, drawing criticism likening the situation to that of a “banana republic.”

According to The Times, Biden’s campaign amassed $43.8 million in March 2024, with expenditures totaling $29.2 million. In contrast, Trump raised $15.3 million during the same period, with expenses amounting to $4 million.

The report further elaborated: “Mr. Biden’s campaign disclosed $85.5 million in cash on hand at the end of March, as per its monthly filing with the Federal Election Commission, marking a notable increase from the previous month. In contrast, Trump concluded February with less than half that amount, underscoring a stark contrast in financial reserves.”
