Carville: ‘Too Many Preachy’ Dem Females Harming Party in Polls

The declining support for President Joe Biden among voters could be attributed to the perception that there are “too many preachy females” within the Democratic Party, according to Democratic strategist James Carville in an interview published by The New York Times on Saturday.

Carville, known for his role as a strategist in former President Bill Clinton’s 1992 campaign, highlighted how the Democratic Party’s culture and rhetoric might be alienating male voters.

Expressing his suspicion, Carville remarked, “‘Don’t drink beer; don’t watch football; don’t eat hamburgers; this is not good for you.’ The message is too feminine: ‘Everything you’re doing is destroying the planet. You’ve got to eat your peas.'”

He also pointed out the disproportionate focus on women, particularly women of color, by Democratic elites. Carville emphasized the need for consideration toward the 48% of male voters.

In a lighter tone, Carville humorously likened Biden’s low approval ratings to an uncomfortable scenario, saying, “When I look at these polling numbers, it’s like walking in on your grandma naked. You can’t get the image out of your mind.”

Carville had previously voiced concerns about Biden’s waning support among voters of color, labeling it “a problem” for the president, as reported by The Hill.

Recent polls indicate a notable decline in support among Black Americans, while the Democratic Party’s advantage among Hispanic adults has dwindled to its lowest level since 2011.

In response, the Biden campaign has intensified efforts to engage voters of color. Last week, they launched an ad highlighting Trump’s stance on Hispanics and featured Biden addressing Black voters in battleground states. The campaign underscored that another term for former President Donald Trump would be detrimental to both groups, labeling it a “disaster.”
