Hunter Biden Shocks Washington With Latest Scandal

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., detailed the planned approach for probing into the alleged misconduct involving the Biden family. Speaking on “Eric Bolling The Balance,” Comer emphasized that the investigation will adhere to traditional congressional procedures, which entail initial private depositions followed by a public hearing.

The focus was on Hunter Biden’s upcoming participation. Comer clarified that while Hunter Biden has agreed to a public testimony, the process mandates a recorded deposition first, scheduled for December 13. He warned that failure to attend the deposition could lead to a contempt of Congress charge against Hunter Biden.

Comer expressed his approval of Hunter Biden’s willingness for a public hearing but stressed the importance of a preliminary deposition for a detailed and uninterrupted inquiry. He criticized the potential for partisan interruptions during public hearings, specifically pointing out the tactics of some Democratic committee members, which he feels could disrupt the flow of questioning.

The chairman also refuted claims that the deposition process lacks transparency. He assured that the deposition would be thoroughly documented, with transcripts and video recordings made available to the public. This step, Comer argued, ensures that the investigation remains orderly and focused, leading to a more effective and transparent public hearing later.

This balanced approach, according to Comer, is in line with historical precedents of congressional investigations and aims to ensure a comprehensive examination of the allegations surrounding the Biden family.
