Border Patrol officers have recorded 22,233 encounters with Chinese nationals crossing illegally at both the northern and southern borders since the start of the fiscal year in October. Recently, reports from Fox News highlighted the apprehension of 182 Chinese citizens by agents in the San Diego sector on a single day.
