Judge Napolitano: Trump Has Right to Call Out Judge’s Daughter

Former judge Andrew Napolitano criticized the judge overseeing the trial involving former President Donald Trump’s alleged hush money payments to Stormy Daniels. Napolitano’s critique stems from the imposition of a gag order after Trump’s social media remarks targeted the judge’s daughter, a progressive political consultant.

Trump has been vocal about his demand for the judge’s recusal due to the gag order preventing him from discussing the judge’s daughter’s involvement. Napolitano, speaking on “Wake Up America,” questioned why the judge would rule on a matter involving his own child, suggesting such matters should be handled by a different judge.

Moreover, Napolitano speculated on Trump’s motivations for attacking the judge’s daughter, implying that it was driven by her fundraising efforts for the Democratic Party. He suggested that the daughter’s actions, leveraging her father’s trial to solicit donations, warranted scrutiny and criticism.

Although Napolitano acknowledged the legality of the situation, he defended Trump’s right to challenge it and call it into question. He anticipated that the appellate division would likely overturn the judge’s decision in due course.
