Kyle Rittenhouse Donation Money ‘Gone’

Kyle Rittenhouse, who was exonerated following his involvement in a fatal shooting at a 2020 Black Lives Matter protest in Wisconsin, reportedly hasn’t profited from the incident’s notoriety, as some have speculated.

During the event, Rittenhouse discharged his weapon at three individuals, resulting in the deaths of Joseph Rosenbaum, aged 36, and Anthony Huber, aged 26, and wounding 26-year-old Gaige Grosskreutz. Rittenhouse was indicted on several counts, including premeditated homicide, but a jury absolved him of all charges the subsequent year.

Rittenhouse has recently set up a new legal fund to address several lawsuits stemming from the incident. He had previously amassed over $500,000 for his legal expenses through the GiveSendGo crowdfunding platform. Additionally, he had a bail fund in 2020, when his bail was fixed at $2 million, which attracted contributions from numerous influential conservative figures.

Mark Richards, Rittenhouse’s legal representative, shared with Court TV in a recent dialogue that Rittenhouse “is employed and striving to be self-sufficient. There’s a common belief that Kyle received a substantial sum of money from this situation. Any funds he may have obtained have been depleted.”

“He’s managing his finances, not exactly living from paycheck to paycheck, but he’s certainly working towards self-sustainability. As his attorney and someone who wishes him success, I do hope he resumes his academic pursuits.

“Currently, he’s employed full-time, abiding by the law, and engaged in activities that he finds fulfilling.”

Rittenhouse is also contending with a wrongful death lawsuit filed by John Huber, Anthony Huber’s father. This lawsuit also names officials from the city of Kenosha and the local police department as co-defendants. Following the lawsuit’s filing, Rittenhouse has appeared on various television shows in an attempt to generate funds for his legal defense.
