Former President Donald Trump took to his Truth Social platform on Friday to announce that the Trump National Doral resort in Miami has sealed a deal to host an upcoming LIV Golf championship tournament in April 2024.
In his announcement, Trump expressed enthusiasm, stating, “TRUMP NATIONAL DORAL, in Miami, has just signed with LIV GOLF to host a Championship Tournament in April, 2024. The event they had at Doral in October was a major success!”
This news comes in the wake of the PGA Tour’s merger with Saudi Arabia’s LIV Golf, which was officially announced on June 6. This merger has created a global golf operation featuring some of the world’s top players, all supported by significant financial backing from Saudi Arabia.
