Sen. Johnson’s Shock Claim: Bidens Defying Law?

On a recent Thursday, Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin expressed his opinion that Hunter Biden should attend his upcoming deposition with a House committee. Speaking on a news program, Johnson criticized the Biden family, suggesting they consider themselves exempt from legal accountability.

During the conversation, the focus turned to whether Biden would participate in the December 13 closed-door session. His attorney, Abbe Lowell, had previously indicated on Tuesday that Biden would not be attending.

Senator Johnson highlighted a contrast with former President Donald Trump’s children, who had responded to subpoenas and participated in depositions with a committee investigating the events of January 6th, which he described as biased.

Johnson voiced his thoughts on the matter, stating, “Remember the Trump children; they complied with the congressional subpoena from a thoroughly corrupt January 6th committee run by Democrats. But the Trump children sat for those depositions. I guess Hunter Biden and the Bidens believe that they’re completely above the law. And so far, they have been.”

James Comer, the Chairman of the House Oversight Committee from Kentucky, shared his expectation the previous Wednesday that Biden would fulfill his obligation to appear. Comer also warned of potential contempt of Congress charges if Biden fails to attend the hearing.
