Trafalgar Poll: Trump Leads Biden, Field by 3 Points

As of Tuesday, the aggregated average of polls by RealClearPolitics indicates that former President Donald Trump holds a 2.5-point lead over President Joe Biden.

RealClearPolitics’ combined average from various polls reveals Trump leading Biden with 42.1% to 39.6%. Independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. follows behind at 10.4%, while the Green Party’s Jill Stein and former Harvard professor Cornel West trail further behind Kennedy at 1.9%.

Among the polls analyzed by RealClearPolitics, a survey conducted by the Trafalgar Group shows Trump leading Biden by three points.

Peter Roff, Contributing Editor at Newsweek, commented on the current polling landscape, suggesting that the polls may be biased and fail to accurately represent Trump’s lead.

“Several pollsters have suggested to me that the entrenched belief among America’s elite class, viewing Trump unfavorably, may contribute to the dismissal of early polls showing him in the lead as inaccurate, flawed, or rigged. This brings to mind the famous quote attributed to Pauline Kael following Richard Nixon’s landslide victory in the 1972 presidential election.”

“Similar to Kael’s perspective back then, today’s elites struggle to comprehend any viewpoint other than their own,” Roff remarked, referring to Kael’s surprise at Nixon’s ’72 triumph. “They perceive Biden’s performance positively, yet their disconnection from the sentiments of middle America is evident, resulting in numerous columns lamenting the public’s failure to recognize the true state of the economy.”
