Trump: I Won’t Call Nikki to Quit, But She Should

Former President Donald Trump discussed the Republican presidential candidates in the New Hampshire primary, notably former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley. While Trump stated that he wouldn’t explicitly call for any candidate to drop out, he suggested that Haley should consider it given his significant polling lead in the state.

When questioned about calling for Haley to withdraw from the race, Trump responded, “Well, I would never call for it, but perhaps she should. Maybe she’ll drop out on Tuesday; we’ll see what happens.”

According to the latest polling data from FiveThirtyEight, as of Sunday, Trump holds an approval rating of 49.8%, whereas Haley’s rating stands at 36.1%.

Trump clarified during the interview that he does not actively request candidates to exit the race, emphasizing that they should make that decision independently.

The New Hampshire GOP primary is scheduled for Tuesday, with the next GOP primary following in Nevada on February 6th. Trump expressed confidence in his chances in Nevada, asserting that he would secure “100% of that vote” because some candidates didn’t register, citing poor poll numbers.

Looking ahead to the general election in November, Trump criticized President Joe Biden, labeling him as the “worst president in history” and “the most corrupt president in history.” In contrast, Trump mentioned that even President Jimmy Carter appears “brilliant” compared to Biden.
