Ukraine Strikes Russian Air Base, Destroys 6 Planes: Kyiv Source

According to a Kyiv intelligence source speaking to Reuters on Friday, Ukraine reportedly launched an attack on Russia’s Morozovsk military air base in the Rostov region. The operation, said to be a joint effort by the SBU security service and military, allegedly resulted in the destruction of six Russian warplanes. However, Reuters was unable to independently confirm this claim. The source did not provide details on how the attack was carried out but mentioned that an additional eight warplanes were damaged.

In response, Russia’s RIA news agency, citing the Russian defense ministry, reported that Russian air defenses intercepted and downed 53 Ukrainian drones overnight, with most of the incidents occurring over the Rostov region.
