DeSantis: Haley Tried to Appeal to Non-Republicans

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, a Republican, shared his perspective on Nikki Haley’s defeat in the Super Tuesday primaries, characterizing it as an anticipated outcome.

Haley had announced the end of her presidential campaign earlier in the day following former President Donald Trump’s strong performance in the 14-state primaries held on Tuesday night.

DeSantis remarked on Haley’s campaign strategy, noting that she had sought to secure the Republican nomination by appealing primarily to non-Republicans, a tactic he deemed unsuccessful. He cited the Iowa caucuses as evidence of her lack of a viable pathway to victory.

During an appearance on “Eric Bolling The Balance,” DeSantis emphasized the necessity for Republican candidates to garner support from within the party ranks to secure the nomination.

With the likelihood of a Trump-Biden rematch looming, DeSantis shifted his focus to President Biden, expressing concerns about his ability to effectively lead the country.

Meanwhile, Trump, speaking at a campaign event at Mar-a-Lago, emphasized the importance of success in unifying the nation.
