Ralph Norman: Biden ‘Violating the Oath’ to Protect US

Rep. Ralph Norman of South Carolina expressed his concerns about President Joe Biden’s handling of border security in an interview with Newsmax on Thursday. Norman had previously posted on social media, raising questions about whether Biden’s actions at the border could be considered a “high crime.”

During the “Newsline” interview, Norman elaborated on his statement, asserting that President Biden’s actions or lack thereof regarding border security amounted to a violation of the oath he took when assuming the presidency. He argued that the president had failed in his duty to protect and defend the United States of America.

Norman went on to highlight the significant challenges at the Southwest border, citing alarming statistics. He pointed out that there have been over 6.2 million encounters at the border since President Biden took office, not including the 1.7 million individuals who managed to evade apprehension. Additionally, Norman raised concerns about over 35,000 people with criminal convictions entering the country, including 598 gang members.

He also emphasized the issue of fentanyl trafficking, noting that 27,000 pounds of the deadly substance had been seized, which could potentially harm a vast number of individuals. Norman revealed that his home state of South Carolina had also been affected by this crisis, with a significant quantity of fentanyl discovered in York, South Carolina, posing a severe threat to the state’s residents.

In conclusion, Rep. Norman expressed his belief that the situation at the border was grave enough to warrant serious consideration, even suggesting that it could be grounds for impeachment. His comments underscored the growing concerns and criticisms surrounding border security and immigration policies under the current administration.
